I understand the trick for 101 but in the book for multiplying by 303 and etc I don’t understand how to get the answer. Please help
Real simple think of 303 as 3 times 101 so triple the number first then do the 101 trick.
When multiplying a two-digit number by 101, just write that number twice.
When multiplying a three-digit number by 101:
1. Write the first two digits. 2. Add the first and last digits. 3. Write the last two digits.
